Taoism calls us toward wu wei, effortless action. Shamanism invites us to listen to thee land and feel thee unseen forces at work. Together, they say: “Move with what is already moving...”
Picture an eagle letting thee wind flow beneath it's wings with Grace. A surfer who paddles—and then surrenders to thee wave with Joy, Pleasure and Presence... A bee in a field, fully immersed with thee nectar. That’s thee flow state: calm aliveness, precise without strain. This is practical spirituality—sacred love taking shape in real life.
Across cultures this season is known as Samhain (SAH-win), Halloween, and Día de los Muertos. Thee old teaching: thee veil is thin. We ALL Belong to a Lineage, a Path and Have PURPOSE.
Create a small altar. Cloth, candle, a photo or name of someone you love who has passed.
Offer something they enjoyed. A favorite drink, snack, a piece of fruit, a flower.
Three quiet breaths. Inhale ease; exhale effort. Whisper, “I welcome my benevolent ancestors to guide me.”
Gratitude prayer. “Thank you for your love and lessons. May you be at peace. May I carry your goodness forward.”
Listen. Sit for a minute or two. Notice what you feel or hear inside. Write what comes to you, and how you want to live this season.
Match your phase. Are you beginning, building, harvesting, or composting? Align your to-dos to your season.
Choose one aligned move. Less scatter, more signal.
Let thee Earth help. Write an old story you’re ready to release; burn or bury it respectfully—classic shamanic hygiene.
Breathe for your nervous system. Ten rounds: inhale 4, exhale 6. Let calm lead.
Honor contrast. Abundance grows gratitude; lack clarifies desire. Both are teachers on thee Way.
Which ancestor (blood or chosen) wants honoring now? What virtue did they embody that I’m ready to embody?
What is gently ending in me—and what seed is quietly beginning?
Where can I stop forcing and practice wu wei?
If I were an eagle, what updraft is already here?
May this season be soft power in your bones. May your presence be clear, your actions true, and your life a ceremony of sacred love.
Invitation to PAUSE and Make Thee Altar NOW.
